Description

No. 5 Springfield Road is a 19th-century building designed in the vernacular style. It stands two storeys tall and is constructed of brick with a rendered finish. There is a later addition to the east. The east range features two bays with a central stair bay; on the ground floor, there is one window and a front door, while the first floor has one window and a flat-topped dormer above. Each storey of the east range has one window. The roofs are gambrel at the west and ridged at the east, both covered with slate. The windows are sash hung, and there are two chimney stacks, one located at each end wall, to the west and east.
