Description
Nos 58 and 59 on High Street is a late 18th-century building. It features a red brick facade that rises three stories and has a four-window range, topped with a parapet and a dentil brick cornice. The first and second floors have sash windows set in concealed boxes beneath curved brick heads. The ground floor has modern shop fronts. The roofs are hipped and gambrelled over the northern two bays, while the southern two bays have a ridged and gabled roof, all covered with peg tiles. At the north end, there are two flat-topped dormers behind the parapet. The building has one centrally placed chimney stack, and the overall plan is rectangular.
