Description
This is a cottage from the early 18th century, which has been altered in the 19th century. It is timber framed and plastered, with a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The cottage has three bays aligned northwest to southeast and features a central stack. There is a single-storey lean-to extension on the southeast side, which is roofed with red clay corrugated tiles, as well as a 19th-century single-storey extension at the southern corner. The building is two storeys high.
On the northeast elevation, there are three 20th-century casement windows on the ground floor and one on the first floor. The southeast gable end has one 20th-century casement on each floor. The southwest elevation features a half-glazed door and one 20th-century casement on the first floor. Inside, there are chamfered axial beams with lamb's tongue stops in the northwest bay only, along with plain joists of vertical section. The cottage is included for its group value.
