The building has a rectangular plan facing northwest, with the gable end oriented towards the road. It features one internal stack at the left rear and an external stack at the right end. There is a single-storey lean-to extension on the right that extends forward. The house has two storeys and a three-window range of 20th-century sashes. The central entrance is an elaborately panelled door from the 19th century. On the gable end, there is one 20th-century sash window on each floor. The cottage is included for its group value.
