Description

Old Mill Cottage is a house dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is timber-framed and has plaster walls and a thatched roof. The house has four bays facing northwest, with a stack located near the front pitch of the roof towards the left end, and two stacks in the rear pitch near the right end. A single-storey crosswing projects forward on the right side. A 19th-century stack is situated at the front angle and terminates at eaves level. The cottage is one storey high, with attics. On the ground floor are two 18th-century windows with three lights, each fitted with a single wrought iron casement, and one 20th-century casement. There are two 20th-century casements in swept dormers. A plain boarded door is present. The building is listed for group value.
