Description
Rose Cottage and Corner Cottage are a pair of early 19th-century cottages located on the west side of Duck End in Finchingfield. They are timber framed and plastered, with thatched roofs. The cottages have four bays facing southeast and feature a central stack. At the rear, there is a single-storey lean-to extension with a slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high and have a four-window range of early 19th-century Gothick casements, along with two additional 20th-century casements on the ground floor. There are also two 19th-century four-panel doors. Each cottage displays a lion's head plaque on the front. The roofs are hipped, and the cottages are listed for their group value.
