Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century that have been combined. The cottages are timber framed and plastered, with a thatched roof. They are aligned approximately north-south, with an eastern aspect and a central chimney stack. There is a single-storey rear extension from the 20th century. The cottages are single storey with attics and feature a four-panel door, with the upper panels glazed, located in a 20th-century thatched lean-to porch. There are three 20th-century casement windows with diamond glazing, and a thatched gabled dormer with a 20th-century casement window. The exterior has thin Gothick heads applied, and the gambrel roof has been built up with thatch to give the appearance of a straight pitch.
