Description

73 Nottingham Road is a pair of early 19th century cottages located on the east side of Nottingham Road in Hucknall. The cottages are constructed of coursed and squared rubble with a pantile roof, featuring shouldered coped gables and a single central ridge stack. They are arranged as two storeys plus garrets, with a two-bay front. The building follows a T-plan shape. The windows are generally pointed Gothick casements; on the front elevation, there are two casements flanked by single doors, the left-hand door having a late 20th century glazed porch. Above the casements are two further casements. The north gable has a door to the right, above which are two casements with segmental heads and, above those, a 20th-century casement. The south gable displays a blocked Gothick casement on each floor, with a 20th-century casement to the garret. A single-storey rear wing has a gable stack.
