Description
The Hucknall War Memorial, built in 1922, is a war memorial made of Portland stone, featuring ashlar and sandstone paving. It has a rectangular base consisting of three steps that support a cenotaph column with a moulded base and a Greek key capital. On the west side, there is a bronze cross, while the east side displays an inscribed bronze tablet. The memorial is surrounded by a square paved area, which has a truncated obelisk at each corner, each featuring bronze memorial plaques. Smaller obelisks in between are connected by an oval linked chain.
