Description
Riverside is a cottage dating from the 19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It has a timber frame and is plastered, featuring a thatched front pitch roof and a remainder covered with corrugated asbestos. The building is L-shaped, with wings extending to the southeast and southwest, and it faces southeast with an internal stack. There is a single-storey rear extension, and the cottage has one storey with attics. On the ground floor, there are two 20th-century sash windows, and one sash window is located on the first floor. The entrance features a four-panel door under a slated lean-to canopy. An oval plaque on the front gable displays the monogram RB, which stands for Ruggles-Brise. The cottage is listed for its group value.
