Description
No. 5 Duck End is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century. It is timber framed, plastered, and has a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The cottage has two bays facing southeast, with a stack located in the left return wall. There is a single-storey rear extension, and the building is one storey with an attic. The front features three 20th-century grouped casement windows, each with four lights, and a plain boarded door from the 19th century. Early 19th-century iron railings are present at the front, returning to the corners at each end, and include cast iron spearheads, a similar gate, and cast iron gateposts topped with urn finials.
