Description
This building is an outbuilding that is believed to have been a guild hall, dating from the 14th century and re-erected in the 16th century. It is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, topped with a hipped red pantile roof that features a gablet. The structure originally had a jettied design, and two bays still remain. Inside, there is a four-arm crown post roof construction with two arms that are down-braced, along with a cambered and stop-chamfered tie beam. The bridging joists are also chamfered, and there is arched bracing in the walls. Additionally, there are slots for mullions, grooves for shutters, and some remaining mullions for four mullion windows.
