Description

By Road Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame and has parget plastered walls. The roof is thatched and the building has one storey with attics. There is a 20th-century single storey flat roof lean-to on the right side. A central red brick chimney stack is present, and there are two windows featuring small paned casements. The entrance door is located at the rear of the cottage.
