Description
Foundry House is a house with an early 19th-century front range and a 17th-century rear range. The front range is faced with gault brick and features a hipped red plain tiled roof and a central red brick chimney stack. It is two storeys high and has pilaster strips on the right and left. The front has two vertically sliding sash windows with stone heads and keystones. A central gabled porch, also with a red tiled roof, has a 20th-century part glazed door. The rear range is timber framed, with parts that are brick faced, weatherboarded, and plastered, topped with a red plain tiled roof. It is also two storeys tall and includes a three-light 19th-century window on the first floor, along with a 19th-century red tiled lean-to porch featuring a half-glazed door. A 17th-century diamond leaded window can be found at the rear. The house is situated on a prominent corner site.
