Description

The gateway, gates, and railings at the entrance to Colne Park were built around 1800 and are made of limestone and cast iron. The structure is aligned northwest to southeast and includes double gates, a single gate to the right, nine stone piers, and railings on dwarf walls on both sides. The square piers are rusticated and approximately 3 metres high, with the base wall reaching 2 metres at the southeast end, tapering down due to the gradient. The gates and one bay of railings on each side stand about 2.5 metres tall, featuring scrolled and foliate ornamentation at the top and bottom. There is one bay of railings to the northwest and two bays to the southeast, each approximately one metre high, designed with geometric patterns and scrolls. The overall length of the structure is about 30 metres.
