Description

This is a house dating from the mid-16th century. It is timber-framed, with plaster infill panels, and a roof covered in handmade red plain tiles. The house was rebuilt on the site of an earlier open hall, with a crosswing to the southwest which now forms part of the adjacent number 26. A large axial chimney stack is located at the left-hand end. The house has two floors and originally featured a single window bay of 20th-century casement windows. A 19th-century door with three panels is set within a small doorcase topped with a pediment. The original timber frame is visible internally, displaying stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
