Description
No. 25 Colchester Road is a house that dates from the 18th century or earlier. It features a timber frame with plastering on a brick base and is topped with handmade red plain tiles. The main part of the house faces southwest and has two axial stacks, along with two rear wings. The building is two storeys high.
On the ground floor, there are three early 19th-century sash windows, each with 16 lights, and one 20th-century equivalent. The first floor has two early 19th-century sash windows with 16 lights, two 20th-century equivalents, and one early 19th-century sash window that has a semi-circular head and Gothick tracery above the door. The entrance features a six-panel flush door topped with a moulded cornice head. The roof is hipped at both ends, with one rear wing having a gablet hip and the other a pyramidal roof.
