Description
No. 11 Stoneham Street is an 18th-century house that has been altered in the 19th century. It features a timber frame that is plastered, with a roof made of slate and handmade red plain tiles. The front of the house faces northeast and has a stack located behind its central axis. There is a rear wing that runs at a right angle to the front range, which also has a central stack. The house is two storeys tall.
On the ground floor, there is a late 19th-century bay window with sashes arranged in a 2-4-2 light configuration. The first floor has an early 19th-century sash window with 16 lights. The entrance features a six-panel door with moulded and fielded panels, two of which are glazed. This door is set in a doorcase with panelled jambs and soffit, topped by a moulded flat canopy supported by foliate carved brackets. The main range has a low-pitched slate roof, while the rear range is tiled and has a hipped roof at the front end only. The right side of the rear range has two early 19th-century sash windows with 16 lights, made with crown glass, on the first floor.
