Description
No. 12, known as Findings, is a Grade II listed building that is part of a house, now functioning as a shop. It dates back to the 15th century and has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The structure is timber framed and plastered, with some areas of exposed imitation framing, and it has a roof made of handmade red plain tiles.
The building features a one-bay range facing southwest, which was originally the right bay of a hall house, with No. 14 (Stonehaven) serving as the crosswing. A wide vehicle access has been created through the hall, separating the two parts. There is a one-bay wing at the rear that is slightly angled to the right. The building is one storey high with attics. The ground floor has a 20th-century shopfront and a part-glazed door from the same period.
The upper storey displays exposed imitation framing but does not have a window. The left side and rear of the building are fully plastered. Inside, the interior is completely plastered with all beams covered, although an incomplete crownpost roof can be seen from the attic of No. 10.
