Description
This is a barn and attached cartlodge, located approximately 50 metres west of Wakeshall Farmhouse. It dates from the late 17th century, with a re-roofing that occurred in the late 18th century. The structure is timber framed and weatherboarded, featuring a gambrel roof clad in corrugated iron. The barn consists of six bays and includes two midstreys, with two side purlins supported by braces to the collars and ridge board. The tie beams are supported by hanging knees. The cartlodge has three bays and a pantiled roof constructed with a king post design, and it features through bracing in the walls.
