Description

The property is a house, dating to the 16th century with later alterations. It is timber framed and has been plastered, with a red-tiled roof. The house is one storey high with an attic, featuring a catslide dormer. The front has a three-window facade with vertical sliding sash windows containing glazing bars. A vertically boarded door is set within a plain surround. Two red brick chimney stacks are present; the one to the right has a four-square arrangement of attached shafts. A single-storey, brick-built lean-to is attached to the right, featuring a small paned casement window and a vertically boarded door. Inside, stop-chamfered bridging and ceiling joists are visible, along with a reputed early 18th century staircase with good balusters. A bladed scarf joint is also visible.
