Description

Knowles Cottage, located south of the Cherry Tree Inn, is a cottage that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a thatched roof. The building has one storey and attics, characterized by a central eyebrow dormer and 19th-century casement windows. To the left, there are two small paned horizontal sliding sash windows, and to the right, there is a small casement window. The entrance is a 20th-century door with a top light set in a plain surround. An off-centre red brick chimney stack adds to its charm.
