Description

Ovington Grange is an 18th and 19th century house. The original timber frame was refaced with gault brick in the early 19th century. It has a hipped grey slate roof and two symmetrically placed gault brick chimney stacks on the right and left sides. A band runs along the eaves. There are two recessed panels on the right and left. The house is two storeys high with a 2:1:2 window arrangement of vertical sliding sash windows. The first-floor windows have six panes, and the ground-floor windows have twelve panes, each with a gauged brick arch. A centrally located, flat-roofed enclosed porch has a panelled door with a flat canopy and brackets, along with a semi-circular fanlight. The house retains good 18th-century architectural details, including a staircase.
