Description
Mashay Hall is a house dating from the 16th century, with 20th-century extensions. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof. The building consists of five bays aligned northeast to southwest and features two internal chimney stacks. At the rear, there is a single-storey extension with a slated lean-to roof and a conservatory. The hall is single storey with attics.
On the northwest elevation, there are three 18th-century casement windows, which have been altered, along with two 19th-century casement windows and two 20th-century casement windows in gabled dormers. Inside, the hall has jowled posts, heavy studding, and the mortices of an unglazed window in the rear wall. There is an inserted floor with a chamfered beam and lamb's tongue stops. The building has previously formed a range of two or more cottages, which have now been combined.
