Description
18 and 20 Church Street are two cottages that date from the 17th or 18th century, with alterations and additions made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The cottages consist of three sections: the left and center are timber framed with plastered or painted brick facades and red tiled roofs, each having one storey and attics with a catslide dormer, while the center roof is notably low. The right section is made of painted brick with a grey slate roof and features two storeys along with a red brick chimney stack. The buildings have a window arrangement of three sections, each with various vertical and horizontal sliding sashes that include glazing bars. There are two 20th-century doors, with the door to No. 18 accessed by steps. These cottages are included for their group value.
