Description

No. 1 Church Street is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations. It has a timber frame and is rough rendered, featuring a weatherboarded plinth. The roof is hipped and covered with red plain tiles, and there is a central chimney stack made of plastered red brick. The building stands two storeys high, with the hip end facing the road. On the first floor, there are three windows, while the ground floor has two windows, both of which are small paned horizontal sliding sashes. To the left of the building is a vertically boarded door, and to the right is a boarded door with two lights. A 20th-century canopy is positioned above the entrance.
