Description

This is a house, likely dating from the 16th century or earlier, located on Church Street in Sible Hedingham. The building is timber-framed with plaster infill, and it has a red brick plinth. The roof is red plain tiles, with gabled crosswings projecting to the right and left. Red brick chimney stacks are located centrally and to the rear right. The house is two storeys high, with cellars below. The first floor has a five-window front, while the ground floor has a four-window front. Most windows are small-paned vertically sliding sashes, although some are 20th-century casements. A 20th-century plank and muntin door, with a moulded surround, is situated on the right side. An iron cellar louvre is also located on the right.
