Description

This is a house dating from the 16th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It is timber-framed with plaster, and the timber frame is exposed on the right return. The roof is covered in red plain tiles. There are red brick and rear left chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high with attics, and includes a single-storey lean-to on the left. An eaves-height gabled porch is located opposite one of the chimney stacks. There are two first-floor and three ground-floor vertically sliding sash windows, with a 2-light C20 casement on the ground floor to the right. Attic windows are visible in the return gables. At one point, a plaque on the front wall read "1565".
