Description

Spring Hill is a house dating from the 16th century or earlier, with subsequent alterations and additions. It is timber framed and plastered, with red plain tiled roofs. A red brick chimney stack, constructed as a concertina shaft, rises from the centre, left of the building and is two storeys high. The property is said to have jettied upper floors. A two-bay gabled range is located to the left, and a full-width, 20th-century lean-to porch extends from it, featuring a 20th-century door and multi-light window. There are four first-floor windows, one of which is original with mullions. A 20th-century door is positioned to the left of the porch. A plaster date of 1577 is visible above a window. A wing was added in 1937. It is believed there is an original door and two original windows present. An internal inspection was not carried out during the most recent survey.
