Description
Ladysmead is a cottage dating from around 1600, with a 20th-century alteration and addition on the left side. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a plastered exterior. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and gabled towards the road, featuring a rear chimney stack. The cottage has one storey plus attics, and there are catslide dormers on both the right and left sides of the original structure. A lean-to garage extension is located at the rear of the right side. The front has a window arrangement of one large and two smaller diamond leaded casements. The 20th-century left extension includes a plank and muntin door. Inside, the original frame displays jowled storey posts and a side purlin roof with intermittent collars.
