Description

House. Dating from the 16th century or earlier, it has undergone later additions and alterations. The house is timber-framed with plaster infill, and has a brick plinth. The roof is covered in red clay tiles, and there are red brick chimney stacks located centrally and to the external right and left. It is two storeys high, with a four-window range to the first floor – the window to the right is blocked – and a three-window range to the ground floor, featuring 20th-century leaded casements. A central, 20th-century gabled porch with red tiled glazing is present. A vertically boarded door is visible. One room is said to retain an open timber ceiling. The site was originally a moated site.
