Description

Lane Cottage is a cottage that dates from the early 17th century or possibly earlier, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed from timber framing and has a plastered exterior. The roof is covered with red plain tiles, and there is a central red brick chimney stack featuring attached diagonal shafts. The cottage is two storeys high, with a four-window range on the first floor and one window range on the ground floor to the right, all of which are 20th-century casements with glazing bars. To the left, there is a gabled porch with a red tiled roof and a weatherboard apex, leading to a vertically boarded door.
