Description
Pentlow Street Cottages, which include the railings to Number 1 and the wall to Number 2, are cottages that date from the 18th century or earlier, with later and 20th-century additions. The cottages are partly timber framed and plastered, and partly clad in brick, topped with a red tiled roof. The building has a crosswing to the left and stands two storeys high with an attic. The first floor features a window arrangement of 1:2:2, while the ground floor has a varied arrangement of 1:1:3 casement windows, including two and three-light windows. The crosswing has a pentice board on the gable. The entrance to Number 1 has a six-panel door with a pilaster and a flat canopy supported by brackets, while the main range has a four-panel door with two lights in a moulded surround. The front garden of Number 1 is enclosed by hooped rails with arrow heads, and there is a flint wall dressed with red brick for Number 2.
