TL 84 NW PENTLOW PENTLOW STREET 2/205 Pentlow Street Farmhouse

GV 11*

House. Late C15 with later alterations. Jettied crosswing to left. Timber framed and rough rendered. Red plain tiled roof. 2 storeys. 1:2 window range of C19 2 and 3 light casements. 6 panel door of which 4 panels are glazed. Flat canopy over. 2 red brick chimney stacks. Some early leaded casements to left return. Fine inserted carved and moulded bridging and ceiling joists with foliate stops to ground floor. 2 armed crown post roofs. Crown posts with moulded bases. Right range soot blackened. Crosswing built approx. 20 years later with integral floor. Solid tread stairs to loft. Original nailed vertically boarded door in plain surround with headboard over to first floor. Good of its type. RCHM 11.
