Description

Hill Farmhouse is a house dating from the 15th century, with alterations made in the 16th century. It was originally an open hall and features gabled and jettied crosswings on the east and west sides. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tile roof. It has two storeys and a window arrangement of 1, 2, 1, featuring 20th-century casements with glazing bars. At the rear, there is a lean-to extension with gabled dormers. The farmhouse has late 16th-century red brick chimney stacks with grouped diagonal shafts. The hall roof was raised in the 16th century, and a first floor was inserted. Notable features include one 15th-century doorhead and a crown post roof.
