Description

A row of three cottages dated to the 17th and 18th centuries, with later alterations. Number 14 is early 17th century, while the remainder of the row dates to the late 17th and 18th centuries. Numbers 14 and the upper floor of Number 12 have timber framing with brick and plaster infill. The ground floor of the other cottages are of rubble stone, whitewashed to the centre, with Number 10 having half-timbering above and its right gable rebuilt in brick. The roof is tiled, with a half-hipped section to the left, and contains four brick chimneys. The cottages are two storeys high and have seven irregular bays. Number 10 features 20th-century leaded casement windows, while the remainder have 20th-century metal casements to the front and wooden casements to the rear. There are three doors, and a 20th-century garage is situated to the left. Inside Number 14, a central bay contains stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, and the timber frame has heavy diagonal braces.
