Description
This is a symmetrical pair of cottages built in 1927 by Thomas Tait, designed in the International Modern style. The cottages are constructed of brick, with a rendered and colourwashed finish. Each cottage is two storeys high and two windows wide, featuring a flat roof and a parapet. Original entrance doors are located in the outer bays, each with a projecting canopy. "V" shaped metal bay windows are positioned above the entrances, topped with pinnacles at the corners. Later replacement windows are present elsewhere. Brick chimney stacks have been updated with later coping. A brick wall connects the cottages to numbers 14 and 16, providing access to the rear gardens.
