Description

A pair of symmetrical cottages built in 1927 by Thomas Tait, designed in the International Modern style. The cottages are constructed of brick, with a rendered and colourwashed finish. They are two storeys high and each has two windows. The roofs are flat. The outer bays are recessed. A projecting canopy covers the original entrance door of number 2, accompanied by a low brick screen wall in front. The entrance door features metal glazing bars. A large, new brick porch has been added to number 4. First-floor windows are set within a recessed horizontal band. The windows are replacements. There are three brick chimney stacks with later coping.
