Description

Nos 13 and 15 Silver Street are a symmetrical pair of cottages built in 1927 by Thomas Tait, designed in the International Modern style. The cottages are constructed from painted brick and feature a continuous rendered parapet. Each cottage is two storeys high and two windows wide, with a flat roof. The original entrance doors are located in the outer bays and have projecting canopies. Above these entrances are 'V' shaped metal bay windows with pinnacles at the corners. Some of the windows have been replaced. The cottages have brick chimney stacks with later coping. They are connected to Nos 9 and 11 and Nos 17 and 19 by brick walls that provide access to the rear gardens.
