Description

Bay Tree House is a house located on Balsham High Street, originating from the 17th to 18th century but significantly remodeled in the early 19th century. It features a timber frame that is cased in brick and plaster, topped with a tiled and slate roof. The house has two storeys and includes two gault brick ridge stacks. On the first floor, there are three sixteen-pane hung sash windows. The early 19th-century portico is adorned with render and wood Doric columns. Inside, there are opposing front and rear doorways leading to a hall and stairway, along with an early 19th-century stick baluster staircase. A wall plate is visible in the rear wall. The house is included for its group value.
