Description

Tosca Cottage is an early 17th-century cottage located on Horseheath Road in Linton. It features a timber-framed and plastered construction with a thatched roof that is hipped to the left. The building has one storey and an attic, originally designed with a three-unit lobby entry plan, which includes a slightly lower service end. The tall ridge stack has been rebuilt. There is a plastered plinth, and the main entrance, which is a 20th-century closed thatched porch, leads into the cottage. The ground floor has three three-light windows, and there is one dormer window. Inside, the cottage showcases exposed timber framing and floor frames, along with a pargetted panel decorated with a fleur de lys.
