Description

Victoria House is a house that dates from the late 17th century and was refronted in the mid 19th century. It is timber-framed and plastered, featuring a flint plinth and gault brick casing, topped with a pantile roof and a red brick ridge stack. The building has two storeys and follows a two-unit lobby entry plan. The entrance includes a recessed 20th-century door, which is flanked by two horizontal sliding sash windows set in segmental brick arches, with two similar windows on the first floor. Inside, some of the timber frame is exposed, and there are boxed beams along with a 19th-century staircase. The house is included for its group value.
