Description

This is a cottage, likely built mainly in the early 18th century with an addition from the 19th century. The structure is timber-framed and has a roughcast and plaster rendering. It sits on a brick sill of varying heights, suggesting multiple building phases or repairs over time. The roof is thatched with reeds, and there are two ridge stacks. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, and features two dormers. Most of the windows are 20th century replacements, except for one original cast iron casement window with leaded lights, which has been re-installed. A glazed front door is present. Two 19th-century horizontal sliding sash windows are located on the gable end. A 19th-century clunch addition, single-storey and single bay, extends from one end.
