Description

The stables at River Farm, dating from around 1711, are located adjacent to the house on the east side. They are constructed of soft red brick and sit on a plinth. The roof features a tiled design with a diaper pattern and has a double eaves cornice made of dentil and sawtooth brickwork. There is a later 19th century chimney at one end of the building. The stables include two doorways with stable doors from the 19th to 20th centuries, which have contemporary fittings.
