Description
The White Cottage is a house dating from the early 17th century, with some remodeling and a raised roof that occurred in the 18th century. The front features late 19th-century windows. The structure is timber-framed and has a roughcast rendered finish from the 20th century. It has a steeply pitched roof with two levels, covered in cement tiles, and includes 18th-century end and ridge stacks. Originally, the house had a three-bay, lobby entry plan, which was likely altered in the 18th century. It is two storeys high and has a symmetrical facade with two canted bays on either side of the doorway, which has a small casement window above, likely replacing the original. There is also a lower, single-storey wing that now serves as the kitchen and features two windows.
