Description
This is a cottage dating from the 16th century with later alterations in the 19th century. The construction is timber-framed, with plaster rendering and weatherboarding over a brick plinth. The roof is thatched, with longstraw detail, and features a rebuilt white brick ridge stack and an early 19th century end stack. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, and has two gable dormers. It has two casement windows and a doorway. An approximately 1840 addition, rendered and with a pantile roof, adjoins the road end; this addition has a horizontal sliding sash window. Inside, the cottage features stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops and roll-moulded joists.
