Description

The former pigeon house, located at 8 Barton Road and No 2 South Street, dates from the 17th to 18th century. It is now a dwelling and features a timber-frame structure that is plaster rendered, with one wall covered in 19th-century clay bat and another wall clad in 19th to 20th-century weatherboarding. The building has a square plan and a pyramidal tiled roof with gablets. It stands two storeys tall, with a doorway and a hung sash window on the east side, and a large window on the ground floor of the south side.
