Description

The pump located in the courtyard of Sawston Hall is a long case pump from the 18th century. It features a lead cistern and pipe, although the original wooden casing is no longer present. The cistern has a decorated front panel and a spout. It is positioned against the wall of a late 16th-century stair turret.
