Description

The pump, located in the center of the courtyard in front of the Mills Almshouses, dates from the 18th century. It is made of cast iron and features a wooden casing with a square base, which has a recessed boarded panel on each side, and a plain capering shaft that ends in a flat top. The pump is no longer functional, and the casing is showing significant signs of decay. This structure is included for its group value.
