Description

This is a pump located 3 metres west of Fryerning Hall, dating from the late 19th century. It features a lead and wrought-iron construction housed in a wooden case. The lead cistern is decorated with an embossed pattern of scrolled foliage and two paterae, resembling a similar design found at Wyatts in Blackmore. It has a reeded lead spout and an iron tongue below, along with a curved handle topped with a knob. The limestone cistern measures approximately 1.20 metres by 0.60 metres by 0.45 metres high and dates back to the 18th century. This pump is included for its group value.
